So I walked into the office to speak with some adults today. Under the guise of "wanting help figuring something out". Well technically I did need help figuring something out, but what I needed more was adult conversation. So I took what I could and handed my child a phone to play mind craft so I could get in a few extra uninterrupted minutes of golden grown up communication.
Then I spoke to another woman as I was leaving. She happened to talk to me about something I am super interested in and know a lot about. So I proceeded to throw up all the information I knew about the subject and overstayed my 'cubicle adult conversation' welcome. I later apologized in an email for talking way too much. Which I think may have made me appear even stranger.
Lastly tonight I was suppose to teach a class. Which I am good at in big groups. I can act professional and stay on topic and task, for the most part. When only two people showed up and the setting was more intimate I proceeded to go on and on. Once again giving too much information and letting the topics go all over the place.
I feel a bit sheepish now and I slightly wonder what those people think of me. Maybe I will just stick to having adult conversations with myself. Goodnight self.

So Many Things
Today was cold, so cold in fact that I set the thermostat three degrees higher than normal and switched on the fireplace. As I stood with my buns up against the warming glass I wondered - is the glass on this fire place as warm as all of the other gas fire places? The ones that you hear about kids getting burned on all of the time. So of course I had to touch it. To my hand it was very warm however it did not instantly burn. I decided it would be curious to try my forearm against the increasingly hot surface. Yep ouch that burns! My husband just stared at me confused. Who is this creature he has chosen to love and have children with? I just gave him a look that said "now I know" and walked off like what I did was completely normal.
January has been a bit inconsistent this year. For me inconsistent is good I find it hard to be consistent in anything so inconsistent keeps things interesting and flowing. Right now I am speaking of the weather. I am actually not speaking I am writing but it is the same thing now a days isn't it. The weather is inconsistent. It freezes, the wind blows and ice sticks to everything. Then there are days like yesterday where a nice walk outside in the sun is possible without even a sweater.
Today was a rare treat, I want to talk (write)(I need to stop doing that) about today. Wearing a jacket and more appropriately a coat seemed needed. However yesterday a coat was not needed so what logical sense would it make to wear one today. So no coat was worn. The heater in the car was blasted until it was uncomfortably warm, then of course the windows were cracked to cool things off. As I drove down the street and turned west I was hit by a beam of sunlight so perfect. It lit me up and drowned out all of the clouds, but there were clouds. Grey full clouds on one side of the sky and sunlight bursting through on the other side. Turning south toward the beams of sun I soaked in every bright beautiful particle I could. Which made the turn back east toward the grey even more beautiful in contrast. I knew I was driving into the storm, no idea when or if it would hit me before making another turn. The darkening sky looming and tempting...
Wow my drive today is sounding too deep. In the spirit of no cliffhangers I will tell you I eventually headed back into the sun, pulled back the moon roof and headed back home. Moving on.
Never mind, not moving on, it is all of a sudden super hot in here and I am tired. I guess I will turn down the thermostat and go to bed.
